CMC Conducting Free Seminar on Posture and Pain

Conway Medical Center (CMC) Rehabilitation Services @ Carolina Forest will be conducting a seminar about “Improper Body Mechanics and Unresolved Causes of Pain” at the Carolina Forest Recreation Center on February 20 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.  Poor posture and improper body mechanics can cause both muscle and joint pain.  Individuals dealing with pain in the back, neck, shoulders and other areas as well as those who are simply looking to make a change in their posture will benefit from this free seminar.  Participants are asked to register in advance by calling 843-236-8821.  Refreshments will be provided.

The CMC Rehabilitation Services @ Carolina Forest physical therapists will promote personal awareness of posture and show attendees examples of modifications they can make during day to day activities. “Not only does improper posture cause chronic pain, but it can also cause complications with walking and balance and cause other impairments too.  Whether at work or school there are things that all of us can do to correct or help with these issues and those are what we will be demonstrating at this seminar,” said Hillary Tyndall, physical therapy assistant at CMC Rehabilitation Services @ Carolina Forest.
