Children’s Needs
CMC Foundation has four different endowments which supports children’s needs in Horry County.
The Conway Medical Center Auxiliary Endowment – The Conway Medical Center Auxiliary Endowment was established in 1998. This endowment underscores the Auxiliary’s commitment to the mission of Conway Medical Center and assures an ongoing source of revenue to be used to fund community health outreach initiatives aimed at helping children.
The Dr. L. B. Courtney Family Endowment – Established in 2006 by the Dr. L. B. Courtney, long time pediatrician and medical staff member at Conway Medical Center, gifts to this endowment will assist Conway Medical Center in providing the best in pediatric care.
The Dr. Paul E. Sasser Memorial Endowment – The Dr. Paul E. Sasser Memorial Endowment was established in 2002 by Mr. George F. “Buddy” Sasser, Mrs. Joan S. Coker and Mrs. Sara Margaret S. Oyster. Gifts to this endowment will be used to assist Conway Medical Center in offering the best in compassionate, quality health care and prevention efforts for children in the community.
The Mr. and Mrs. Jeff C. Whittington Endowment – The Mr. and Mrs. Jeff C. Whittington Endowment was established in 1996 by Jeff and Bernice Whittington. The Whittington’s have always been interested in helping children and gifts designated to their endowment are used to promote health and well-being of children in Horry County.
